Global Nutritional Research Announces Comprehensive National Product Launch for Clotamin® the Multivitamin Without K, for People on Blood Thinners

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

Kensington, MD – August 26, 2006 – Global Nutritional Research (GNR), the manufacturer of Clotamin, the multivitamin without k, today announced that they have launched a comprehensive product and marketing campaign throughout the United States.

Unlike most multivitamins on the market, Clotamin contains no vitamin k which can thicken blood and interfere with warfarin treatment. Clotamin is specially formulated to not interfere with blood thinning medication warfarin (also known under the brand names of Coumadin®, Jantoven®, Marevan®, and Waran®). Thousands of people on blood thinning medications are taking this daily multivitamin without affecting international normalized ratio (INR) levels.

GNR has signed distribution agreements with Dik Drug, King Drug, Miami-Luken, North Carolina Mutual Wholesale Drug, Prescription Supply, Rochester Drug, Smith Drug, Valley Wholesale and Value Drug. Through their network of wholesalers, Clotamin will be available in independent pharmacies throughout the United States.

“We couldn’t be more excited about having our product placed in independent pharmacies throughout the country. Our customers have been asking where they can buy it and now we can meet that need,” said co-owner Mackie Barch.

GNR has formulated a national ad campaign that will include national radio spots on National Public Radio’s Diane Rehm Show, print advertising in Blood Magazine and American Journal of Hemotology, as well as, a new website, www.clotamin.com.

In addition, GNR has responded to customer requests and made improvements to the Clotamin product and packaging. “We were hearing from a lot of customers that they wanted a smaller pill that was easier to swallow. We’ve reduced the size and reformulated the vitamin to have a smoother coating,” says Justin Barch, GNR founder.

“Our national launch is important for us and the community of people facing blood clot issues. People who haven’t had a clot or aren’t on blood thinners don’t understand how scary and frustrating it is to find safe products that won’t affect their INR levels. Through our relationship with the National Alliance for Thrompbosis and Thrombophila, we’ll be able to raise a lot of money for a great cause and provide a safe multivitamin, which people taking blood thinning medication need. It’s a win-win for everybody,” says Mackie Barch.
