Kensington, MD – Global Nutritional Research, the manufactures of Clotamin, today announced that proceeds from every bottle sold will go to support The National Alliance for Thrombosis and Thrombophilia. The National Alliance for Thrombosis and Thrombophilia (NATT) is a patient-led advocacy organization providing patient education and professional training on the signs, symptoms and prevention of blood clots and clotting disorders. NATT combines the unique perspectives of health care providers, individuals afflicted with clotting disorders and community leaders who are passionate about this health care crisis. NATT’s Medical and Scientific Advisory Board includes nationally recognized experts on thrombosis and thrombophilia.
NATT President Randy Fenninger said “I want to thank Clotamin for its commitment to support NATT.” Fenninger added that “I look forward to working with Clotamin to advance education and outreach programs to individuals with clotting disorders.”
NATT is working closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), hemophilia and thrombophilia treatment centers and anticoagulation clinics. Stop-the-Clot™ Education Project.
“We couldn’t be more excited about being able to support NATT. My brother and I have been deeply affected by blood clots and we hope our support of NATT will help get to get the message out about Thrombosis and Thrombophilia,” says Justin Barch, founder of GNR.
Clotamin is a complete multivitamin specially formulated without vitamin k for the nutritional needs of people taking blood thinning medications (anticoagulants). Clotamin can be taken with blood thinning medication warfarin (also known under the brand names of Coumadin™, Jantoven™, Marevan™, and Waran™) without affecting international normalized ratio (INR) levels. Unlike most multivitamins on the market, Clotamin contains no vitamin k which can thicken blood and interfere with warfarin treatment.

I am so delighted to hear of your organization and its efforts. I used to be President of my County Heart Association, then on the State Board of Directors of the NC Heart Association….withdrawing from the latter when I was elected to the NC General Assembly where I served for eight years. I have had two DVTs….first one put me in the hospital for about a week and the second, almost a year later, put me in the floor and totally out. Am on Coumadin now alternating between 5 and 7 1/2 mg. Although I am using a vitamin from Vitacost (NSI) designed for the same target population as your vitamin, I am delighted to know you are out there. Following the publicity surrounding reporter David Bloom’s untimely death during early stages of Iraq invasion (he was in a tank as you might recall…doing night pool reporting) his wife wrote a book and appeared on Larry King Live (CNN); I tried to start a nation-wide organization such as this, but found little interest. Apparently you have met with some success, and I strongly salute you and admire what you are doing. If I can ever be of assistance, please do not hesitate to call upon me. Malcolm Fulcher
